alexstrahan: While most six month olds were staring at mobiles, I was campaigning - from the seat of a stroller. I love it when my parents tell the story of the time Bill Clinton won the 1996 election (not because he won, mind you), but because at eight years old, I was heartbroken that Bob Dole lost. So heartbroken, in fact that I pitched a fit and cried myself to sleep. (This same series of events happened again November 2008 - I'm sure you can figure out why.) I graduated in 2011 with bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, which is ironically the most liberal university in the state. No worries. Their liberal ideology didn’t rub off on me a bit. I am more conservative than when I enrolled. I am proud to be a Republican - definitely the elephant in the room.
